Three Decades of Experience in Litigating Appeals
Whether helping my own clients or taking on complex cases for peer attorneys, I have gained extensive experience in litigating civil appeals. I thrive on the challenge of redefining issues and marshalling case law and statutes so that the appellate courts can understand the errors made by the court below. Appeals to the Appellate Terms and Appellate Divisions in New York's First and Second Departments and to the New York State Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals are perfected at my firm, the Law Office of Robert L. Boydstun, in White Plains, New York.
A verdict in a trial does not have to be the final word. You need an appellate attorney who will pour through the record to find reversible error. Contact me at 866-529-6065.
An Appeals Resource for Clients and Lawyers
Simply put, some trials or summary judgment motions just do not go your way. That in itself is not a reason to appeal. However, sometimes the court has not appreciated valid arguments or has misapplied case law, statutes or regulations. If you believe that this has occurred, I am available to undertake a review of your case for a possible appeal. I am also available to prepare the brief to argue that the decision in the court below should be affirmed if you represent the prevailed and the other side has filed the Notice of Appeal. At the Law Office of Robert L. Boydstun we represent both appellants and respondents in civil appeals.
Proven Success at the Appellate Level
During my career, I have appeared before the appellate courts in New York State and before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals many times on behalf of other law firms and individual clients. The appeals have involved business disputes, labor law violations, insurance coverage disputes, motor vehicle accidents, building security, premises liability, lead poisoning and other civil litigation. I have found success in many instances at the appellate court level.
